Sucker Punch tells the story of a young lady (Emily Browning) who has lost a great deal of that which she loved. In the wake of the tragedy, instead of finding solace in her stepfather, he abuses her to the point where it comes to a vicious confrontation on both sides. He wants the inheritance that was supposed to be for her sister and her. So in order to get her out of the way, he decides to lock Baby Doll away in order to avoid any more entanglements. So without her knowledge, he has her committed to a mental institution run by three horrible captors (Oscar Isaac, Carla Gugino, and Jon Hamm). She wakes up to find the predicament she’s in and that she’s about to be lobotomized in five days time. Read more…

Stevens (played by Jake Gyllenhaal of Brokeback Mountain fame) must figure out why he’s there, what is going on, and stop what is about to happen to the train that kills everyone aboard and has eight minutes to do it, sort of. In the live action/computer generated film from Universal, Hop tells the tale of the Easter Bunny (Russell Brand) who has retired and left his legacy to his son, but the son doesn’t want it. Instead he wants to be a drummer and goes to Hollywood to get a gig. On the way, he’s “hit” by a car and fakes injury, so the man (James Marsters) takes him home with him. Of course, he’s not the best roommate and gets into all sorts of trouble, leaving the unemployed guy to clean up his messes. Meanwhile, since there is a vacuum of power on Easter Island, a chick decides he will be new symbol of Easter, creating an army to fight against the return of the Easter Bunny who must decide if he wants to take up his legacy or not.
