Review:

The big night is approaching for a group of high school seniors, each with their own trial and tribulations over the most important event of their lives. Prom is what Nova (Aimee Teegarten) has always dreamed about and she pictures the perfect night with the perfect guy. And she is determined as class president and head of the prom committee to make that happen, but when the guy she hopes will ask simply wants to carpool and not bring her to the dance, it turns her world upside down. All her planning may be for naught if she doesn’t even have a date. And to make matters worse, the principal assigns a trouble making, yet handsome loner Jesse (Thomas McDonell) who doesn’t believe in prom to help her or not graduate. Can this mismatched pair wind up finding happiness and will Nova get her happy ending? You’ll just have to see. Meanwhile other students are also getting ready for the dance of the year, but their quest is not without issues either. Mei (Yin Chang) and Tyler (De’Vaughn Nixon) find that there are revelations that are revealed that threaten their relationship. And of course, no movie about a dance would be complete without the one bumbling nerd like character Lucas (played this time by Nolan Sotillo) who will do anything to get a date at all. Read more…

Review:

Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel) is on his way to prison as you know from the last film, when his buddy, ex-FBI agent Brian O’Conner (Paul Walker) and sister Mia (Jordana Brewster) helps him to escape the transport carrying Toretto back to the joint to serve his 25 year sentence. Once he’s freed, it’s down to Rio de Janeiro in hopes of getting away from their legal troubles, but Brian and Mia can’t resist this one job to raise money, but when it goes wrong, they find themselves in hot water with a dangerous businessman who is not too happy that they got involved in his affairs. He wants them and Dom dead. On the other hand, an FBI agent named Hobbs (Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson) wants them in prison and is very good at getting what he wants. With the help of a local police officer named Elena (Elsa Pataky), he plans to catch them easily, but things don’t always go as planned. The question in the film is who will catch them first and will they get their happily ever after when they pull this one last job worth 100 million dollars. Read more…

Review:

Set during the Great Depression when circus was the top entertainment for people falling on hard times, a young veterinary school student, Jacob (Robert Pattinson), winds up joining a traveling circus not by choice and is put in charge of the animals’ health by their trainer, the mysterious August (Christoph Waltz). He also meets August’s beautiful wife Marlena (Reese Witherspoon) who is the show’s top act, a talented equestrian. But Jacob and Marlena’s common interest in a very ornery elephant that will not respond to any sort of training named Rosie attracts the two together until they fall in love, but must decide whether their love is worth fighting for, especially since her husband is a very dangerous man. Review:

Madea (Tyler Perry), as you know from the other movies, is a very shall we say, intense person who creates a whole lot of trouble in what should be normal activities of her family and friends, even though she means well. In this one, her older niece Shirley (Loretta Devine) is diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, and she wants nothing more than to get her family together to tell them the sad news. But her adult children are too busy with their own issues to even notice that she’s withering away with the chemotherapy or even to stay there long enough for them to find out the truth. Her daughters Tammy (Natalia Desselle Reid) and Kimberly (Shannon Kane) have domestic issues, while their brother Byron (Shad “Bow Wow” Moss) is pushed into returning to drug dealing after getting out of prison. Madea, however, is there for Shirley, along with Aunt Bam (Cassi Davis) if that’s a good thing and will get the family back on track no matter what she has to do, and she’s willing to do quite a bit.
